Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.
— Henry David Thoreau
Objective, honest and independent financial advice.
Our mission is to develop comprehensive, tailored solutions for a limited number of clients who we enjoy working with as partners.
Why are we different?
At Golden Bell Financial, you work directly with an established industry thought leader. Your advice comes directly from someone who has earned both the respected CFP and CFA designations — a demonstration of expertise and competency that less than 0.5% of financial advisors can claim. It’s easy for advisors to talk about expertise or experience. It’s less common that they actually have it.
Golden Bell was founded to break from the model of taking on more and more clients at the expense of personalized service and advice. To do things differently, we set a hard limit of 70 clients. That’s our commitment to personalized service.
Fewer than 10% of financial advisors are subject to the fiduciary standard which imposes a requirement to act in their clients’ best interest. Golden Bell is a fee-only fiduciary advisor and we are one of less than 100 advisors nationwide who commit to the fiduciary oath.
We focus on the totality of your finances with an aspiration to help frame your financial decisions, educate you on the options and potential outcomes, cogently explain what we would do if in your shoes, and then help you to implement.
Our pledge is to be candid in our advice, to tell you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear, to be realistic about expectations, to be transparent about any conflicts, and to be honest about what we know and what we don’t know.
Most financial advisors talk about partnering with a custodian, a fund company, an investment solution, an insurance provider, a CPA practice, etc. At Golden Bell, our only partnership is with our clients and our only commitment is to our clients. Everything else is just a tool to help in the financial planning process.
Our Beliefs
Investment Philosophy
At Golden Bell, we maintain enough humility to appreciate that we are not immune to the same behavioral shortcomings of all humans. Just because we may be smart, experienced, and have unique access to information does not mean we are better at predicting short-term market movements.
At the end of the day, our evidence based approach is intended to maximize growth and consistency while minimizing risk, taxes, and emotion.
